About Wild Board Studio

built around one idea

Make something worth keeping

From the beginning, the goal was clear. Use responsibly sourced materials, with a respect for wild places and the wildlife that inhabit them, focus on straightforward design, and prioritize utility above everything else. Every detail serves a purpose. Nothing extra. Nothing forced.

Over time, this approach to materials, design, and function shaped our products into what they are today. The result is a clean, natural look that feels right in the hand, and stands up to daily use.

Our Three Pillars of Purpose

Wildlife and Wild Places

Wild Board Studio was born from a lifestyle longing to be out of doors. The wide open landscapes, the animals we view and pursue, the rivers, lakes and oceans we cast into. Worth conserving. Worth celebrating. Bits and pieces of the wild show up in everything we make. From the names of our products to the hands they end up in, this brand is built for those who feel most at home when they're far from it.

Utility

Every piece is designed with one question in mind. Does it work? We believe utility and design are not opposing forces. They are the same conversation. A well designed product earns its appearance through function, and a truly functional product is better for being thoughtfully designed. Proportions are considered because size and weight matter on the countertop. Materials are chosen because they perform, not because they impress. Nothing is added without a reason. If it doesn't earn its place, it doesn't make the cut.

Sustainability

We source responsibly because our resources matter. Our material selection comes from suppliers with decades of commitment to responsible forest stewardship, those who understand that the health of the forest and the health of the marketplace are permanently intertwined. When the opportunity arises, we also source locally reclaimed wood from urban tree falls, material that would otherwise go to the chipper.
