This custom end grain cutting board was built as a commissioned gift, designed to function in the kitchen while also standing out as a display piece.
The cutting surface is built from cherry and maple, arranged in a basket weave pattern that runs edge to edge across the full surface. A solid walnut border frames the perimeter on all four sides.
One face of the walnut border carries the laser engraved Wild Board logo, while the opposite face is engraved with the personal message "GRATEFUL FOR YOUR GUIDANCE AND FRIENDSHIP," making this board a one of a kind gift built around a specific relationship. Finger holds are routed through the center of the border on opposing sides for easy handling and transport.
The board comes with a set of maple display stands. The stands have a tapered wedge profile and hold the board upright on the counter, and the light maple tone creates a clean contrast against the dark walnut border when displayed.
